Customer Service Representative

Customer Service Representative is desired for a position on the North Shore. Candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, high attention to detail, and a minimum of 3 years experience in a customer service position. Applicants should have the ability to work with spreadsheets, data tables from computer generated reports, and comfort working with IT systems. Understanding of Excel, Word and other software is essential. Demonstrated experience conducting data entry in a fast-paced environment is a plus. Essential functions are to receive, process, follow up and communicate order information with customers and sales representatives and provide feedback and information for internal customers.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The candidate may be required to perform all or a combination of the following essential functions as determined by business necessity.

  • Receive customer orders via phone, fax or mail
  • Process customer orders for submission including, but not limited to a review for contract pricing and distribution location
  • Control the release of scheduled orders for shipment working with the shipping department
  • Provide information to sales representatives regarding customer ordering patterns, complaints and potential problems
  • Support field sales personnel with regulatory and sales support materials as requested
  • Maintain daily and month-to-date information for each sales territory
  • Contact customer for order discrepancies
  • Review and process open sales orders to ship out backorders
